मुंबई, 26 अगस्त 2026: भारत के Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics और Extended Reality यानी AVGC-XR सेक्टर में करियर बनाने की तैयारी कर रहे छात्रों और working professionals के लिए बड़ी खबर है. Indian Institute of Creative Technologies यानी IICT और Netflix ने मिलकर 100 छात्रों के लिए scholarship initiative की घोषणा की है. इसके तहत छह professional programmes में 80% तक financial support दिया जाएगा.
यह पहल भारत में अगली पीढ़ी के storytellers और creative technology professionals को industry-relevant skills देने के उद्देश्य से शुरू की गई है. Scholarship देशभर के students और working professionals के लिए उपलब्ध होगी.

छह professional programmes में मिलेगा मौका
IICT और Netflix की scholarship initiative के तहत कुल छह programmes को शामिल किया गया है. इनमें दो one-year diploma programmes और चार six-month certificate programmes हैं.
इनमें Interactive Comics & Sequential Arts और Visual Effects Mastery के diploma programmes शामिल हैं. इसके अलावा Virtual Art Department Content Creation, Media Tech Workflow, Art of Character Animation और E-Sports & Gaming Management certificate programmes scholarship के दायरे में हैं.
इन programmes का फोकस creative storytelling के साथ technology-based skills पर है. इनमें visual storytelling, VFX production, virtual production, character animation, media workflows और gaming ecosystem जैसे क्षेत्रों में professional training दी जाएगी.
Scholarship में कितनी मिलेगी आर्थिक मदद
PIB के मुताबिक, scholarship के तहत eligible students को programme fee पर 80% तक financial support मिल सकता है. IICT की scholarship website पर वर्तमान जानकारी के अनुसार scholarship coverage 50% से 80% के बीच है. यानी वास्तविक scholarship amount programme और final selection के आधार पर अलग हो सकती है.
इस initiative का उद्देश्य specialized creative-technology education तक ज्यादा लोगों की पहुंच बनाना है, ताकि आर्थिक कारणों से professional training से दूर रहने वाले प्रतिभाशाली candidates को भी अवसर मिल सके.
30 सितंबर तक कर सकते हैं आवेदन
IICT की official scholarship portal के मुताबिक applications 24 अगस्त 2026 से 30 सितंबर 2026 तक खुली हैं. उम्मीदवार scholarship programme के लिए online application कर सकते हैं.
Selection process में application और eligibility review के बाद online assessment, portfolio या programme-specific assessment, personal interview और final selection जैसे चरण शामिल हैं. Programme के हिसाब से academic qualification और creative aptitude की requirements अलग हो सकती हैं.
उम्मीदवार आवेदन करते समय जिस programme को चुन रहे हैं, उसकी eligibility और assessment requirements ध्यान से देख सकते हैं.
Visual Effects और Media Tech में Netflix का input
इस scholarship initiative की खास बात यह है कि कुछ programmes के curriculum को industry requirements के अनुरूप तैयार किया गया है. PIB के मुताबिक IICT के Visual Effects Mastery और Media Tech Workflow programmes के curriculum को contemporary industry workflows और global standards के साथ align किया गया है, जिसमें Netflix का input भी शामिल है.
इसका उद्देश्य छात्रों को ऐसे professional workflows से परिचित कराना है, जिनका उपयोग creative content production में किया जाता है.
PM मोदी और Netflix CEO की मुलाकात के बाद शुरू हुई पहल
यह घोषणा प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और Netflix के Co-CEO Ted Sarandos के बीच 5 अगस्त 2026 को हुई मुलाकात के बाद शुरू हुई initiative से जुड़ी है.
उस बैठक के दौरान भारत की storytelling tradition और creative talent को वैश्विक content creation ecosystem में आगे बढ़ाने की संभावनाओं पर जोर दिया गया था. इसी broader vision के तहत Netflix India Storytelling Initiative शुरू की गई, जिसका उद्देश्य Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming और Comics यानी AVGC ecosystem में अगले generation के talent को industry-relevant skills देना है.
भारत के creative economy और AVGC sector पर फोकस
भारत में Animation, VFX, Gaming, Comics और Extended Reality जैसे क्षेत्रों का ecosystem लगातार विस्तार कर रहा है. सरकार ने भी AVGC-XR sector के लिए institutional और skill-development framework पर जोर दिया है. IICT को इसी क्षेत्र के लिए national centre of excellence के रूप में विकसित किया गया है.
2025 में IICT, FICCI और Netflix के बीच हुए partnership agreement में भी curriculum development, workshops, masterclasses और selected students के लिए scholarships पर काम करने की बात सामने आई थी. नई scholarship initiative उसी industry-academic collaboration को आगे बढ़ाती है.
IICT में किन क्षेत्रों में बन सकते हैं career options
इन programmes के जरिए students को कई अलग-अलग creative और technology-oriented career paths के लिए तैयार किया जा सकता है. Interactive Comics programme में comic artist, storyboard artist, character designer और concept artist जैसे roles से जुड़ी skills पर काम किया जाता है.
Visual Effects Mastery में VFX production pipeline, compositing और CGI जैसे areas पर training मिलती है. वहीं Media Tech Workflow programme media production, asset management और post-production workflows से जुड़ी practical understanding विकसित करता है.
E-Sports & Gaming Management programme gaming industry, tournaments, communities और event operations से जुड़े skills पर focus करता है.
हालांकि, scholarship मिलने का मतलब Netflix में नौकरी या internship की guarantee नहीं है. IICT की official scholarship website स्पष्ट करती है कि यह programme educational support के लिए है और इससे employment, internship या placement की गारंटी नहीं मिलती.

कहां से करें आवेदन
Netflix- backed IICT scholarship के लिए आवेदन official IICT scholarship portal के जरिए किया जा सकता है. Application window 30 सितंबर 2026 तक खुली है. Candidates को चुने गए programme की eligibility, assessment requirements और application details official portal पर देखकर आवेदन करना चाहिए.
IICT वर्तमान में मुंबई के NFDC Complex, Pedder Road से संचालित होता है, जबकि उसका permanent 10-acre campus Film City, Goregaon में विकसित किया जा रहा है.
